GOVERNING BOARD OFFICERS
The organization meeting shall be called to order by the President Pro
Tempore.
The oath of office shall be administered to new members by the Treasurer
or a member of the Governing Board.
The Governing Board shall then proceed to the election of a President, who
may then take the chair, and a Vice President. Elections of officers shall
be by a majority of the full Governing Board. Where no such majority
exists on the first ballot, a second ballot shall be cast for the two
candidates who receive the greatest number of votes.
1. Officers shall serve for one year and until their respective successors
are elected and shall qualify.
2. In the event that the office of President becomes vacant, the Vice
President shall fill the office for the remainder of the term.
3. In the event that the office of Vice President becomes vacant, the
Governing Board shall fill the vacancy for the un-expired term in the same
manner as the election conducted at the organization meeting.
The President will have the right, as other Governing Board members have,
to offer resolutions, to make and second motions, to discuss questions and
to vote.
Vice President
In the absence of the President, the Vice President will perform the
duties and have the responsibilities and commensurate authority of the
President.
The Vice President will perform such other duties as may be delegated or
assigned to him/her by the Governing Board.
President Pro Tempore
A president pro tempore may be elected by a majority of the Governing
Board to serve in such capacity when the President and Vice President are
absent and unable to perform their duties.
The President Pro Tempore will not have power to sign any legal documents
and will vacate the chair when the President or Vice President arrives at
the meeting.
