GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER AUTHORITY
(And Duties)
Because all powers of the Governing Board lie in its action as a group,
individual members should exercise their authority over Educational
Service Center affairs only as they vote to take action at a legal meeting
of the Governing Board.
An individual Governing Board member has power only when the Governing
Board, by vote, has delegated authority to him/her.
It will be the duty of the individual members of the Governing Board to
attend all legally called meetings of the Governing Board, except for
compelling reasons to the contrary; to participate in the normal business
operations of the Governing Board at the meetings and to represent
interests of all the citizens of the Clermont Governing Board of
Educational Service Center in matters affecting the education of the
students.
