PART-TIME, TEMPORARY AND SUBSTITUTE CLASSIFIED
STAFF EMPLOYMENT
The Governing Board recognizes its responsibility to procure the services
of substitute employees in order to prevent the impermissible abatement of
the operation of the schools.
The office manager shall maintain the names of potential substitute
personnel and the positions in which they may substitute.
The employment of substitute employees prior to approval by the Governing
Board is authorized when their employment is required to maintain
continuity of services in the Educational Service Center.
In order to ensure reliable assistance in the absence of regular
classified personnel, the Governing Board will offer competitive
compensation to qualified substitutes.
Classified substitutes will be paid on an hourly basis at a rate set
annually by the Governing Board.
