CERTIFICATED STAFF TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
(NON-ADMINISTRATORS)
It is the responsibility of the Governing Board to provide a competent and
able staff to perform the services of the Educational Service Center.
Efforts shall be made to recruit and provide in-service training for such
personnel.
The Governing Board, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, may
exercise its option under law not to renew the contract of a teacher or
other non-administrative certificated staff member under a limited
contract.
A teacher or other non-administrative certificated staff member employed
under a limited contract, not eligible for consideration for employment
under a continuing contract, shall be considered to be re-employed unless
the Governing Board, acting on the Superintendent’s recommendation, gives
the teacher or other non-certificated staff member notice of its intention
not to re-employ on or before April 30 or the employee tenders his/her
resignation on or before July 10.
The Treasurer shall notify the employee in writing of the Governing
Board’s action.

(ADMINISTRATORS)
It is the desire of the Governing Board to maintain a staff of
well-trained, competent professionals to offer comprehensive services to
the Clermont County Educational Service Center. Only those so evaluated
will be retained by the Governing Board.
The Superintendent shall notify any administrator whose performance is
determined to be unsatisfactory.
If his/her performance continues to be unsatisfactory, the administrator
shall be notified in writing by the Treasurer, as approved by the
Governing Board by March 31 of the year his/her contract expires, that
his/her contract will not be renewed.
Before taking action to renew or not renew the contract of an
administrator, the Governing Board shall notify each such employee of the
date his/her contract expires, and that he/she may request a meeting with
the Governing Board. Upon request, the Governing Board shall grant a
meeting in executive session to discuss its reasons for renewal or
non-renewal.
