SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOMMODATIONS
Eligibility for Special Classes
It is an objective of this Governing Board to provide and be responsible
for requested programs that local districts and subscribing districts
could not efficiently or economically provide on an individual basis. It
is the purpose of this policy to specify eligibility guidelines for all
such programs.
The Superintendent or his/her designee shall prepare eligibility criteria
for each program approved by the Governing Board.
All eligibility criteria are subject to Governing Board review prior to
promulgation.
Children from out-of-county districts may be accommodated on a
case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Superintendent based upon
services and space available. Such placements are subject to the billing
of excess costs. Transportation is the responsibility of the sending
district.
Transportation to special classes will be provided by the local school
districts.
Students will be governed under the policies of the school districts in
which the classes are housed.
