ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The Governing Board may provide a program of adult high school continuation
for youths over the age of 16 who are not attending high school in the
schools of the Clermont Governing Board of Educational Service Center .
The purpose of adult classes shall be to meet the academic and vocational
interests of the community.
The Governing Board may also maintain an Americanization program of
instruction for the benefit of foreign-born residents of the Clermont
Governing Board of Educational Service Center.
In order to support a program of adult education, the Governing Board may
appoint an adult education director, employ staff, specify the time and
place where courses are offered, and use school facilities and equipment as
required.
The director shall utilize appropriate staff members; invite the
participation of representatives of the community; cooperate with local
organizations and agencies and assess the needs and resources of the
community to develop a program of adult education.
Such program shall not be inconsistent with the policies of this Governing
Board.
The Superintendent is directed to seek out and utilize such Federal and
State sources of revenue as may be appropriate for the financial support of
the adult education program.
All out-of-school youth and adult residents of Clermont Governing Board of
Educational Service Center are eligible for attendance in adult classes.
