BIDDING REQUIREMENTS
Contracts for construction or demolition of buildings or for any
improvements or repairs that will exceed $25,000 will be let only after bids
are solicited in compliance with law.
If practical, all purchases over $1,000 but under $25,000 will be based on
price quotations submitted by at least three vendors. These quotations will
be treated confidentially until the deadline for filing is past; thereafter
they will be public information.
The Superintendent will assemble the proper specifications and make the
necessary arrangements for public bidding and price quotations. The
Treasurer will receive the bids and price quotations and record them. The
Superintendent will make his/her recommendations to the Governing Board.
Upon approval by the Governing Board, he/she will process purchase orders to
those bidders awarded contracts and notify the other bidders of the results
of the bidding.
