We recognize that in this age of accountability and NCLB, the role of data analysis has become increasingly more important to districts, principals and classroom teachers. Multiple measures of data provide rich information about the students we serve. Questions may be simultaneously answered while new questions are being raised. The process often leads to the “aha” moment, enabling us as professionals to make changes in order to become more effective in the work that we do. The results generated from a data analysis process can be an important tool for providing direction for increasing student achievement. As we transition from proficiency to achievement testing and implement the OGT, the Clermont County ESC is prepared to assist districts in looking for trends, patterns, strengths and weaknesses with existing data.
